Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work or work more efficiently, to remember your preferences and to provide information to the website operator.

This Policy also covers similar technologies used for the same purposes, local storage, session storage, pixel tags and device fingerprinting, referred to collectively as "cookies" below.

Treviya uses cookies sparingly. We do not sell personal data and we do not share personal data with advertising networks. We do not set non-essential cookies without your consent.

On first visit we show a cookie consent banner with three options: accept all, reject all (except essential) or customise. Your choice is stored locally and remembered for 12 months. You can change it at any time through the Cookie preferences link in the footer.

Essential

Required for the platform to function. These cookies cannot be turned off. They include session authentication, CSRF protection, load-balancing and preference cookies that remember your consent choices. No third parties are involved in setting essential cookies.

Functional

Remember preferences that improve your experience but are not strictly necessary, for example, the preferred locale, sidebar state and dismissal state of platform notices. Functional cookies can be disabled in preferences.

Analytics

Help us understand how the platform is used, which pages are read, how long sessions run, which cycle briefs receive the most attention. Analytics are processed in aggregate and are not used to build user-level profiles. Analytics can be disabled in preferences.

Marketing

Currently disabled across the Treviya platform. We do not set marketing cookies and we do not run advertising networks. If this ever changes, the change will be announced at least 30 days in advance and consent will be required before any marketing cookie is set.

The following cookies may be set during your use of the platform. Names, durations and purposes are documented below.

• treviya_session, essential · session · authenticated session identifier.
• treviya_csrf, essential · session · cross-site request forgery protection.
• treviya_cookie_consent, essential · 12 months · records your cookie preferences.
• treviya_locale, functional · 12 months · remembers your locale.
• treviya_prefs, functional · 12 months · remembers UI preferences (sidebar, dismissed notices).
• _va, analytics · 13 months · anonymised platform analytics.

Where analytics are enabled, we use a privacy-respecting vendor that does not set browser-level identifiers for cross-site tracking. Identifiers are salted, rotated and are not shared with any advertising network.

Where institutional members use embedded integrations (SSO for corporate teams, approved webhook vendors), those vendors set their own cookies under their own cookie policies, which are linked from the account-settings page at the point of integration.

You can manage your cookie preferences in three ways:

1. Use the Cookie preferences link in the footer at any time.
2. Clear cookies through your browser settings (this will reset your consent choice; the banner will appear again).
3. Use browser-level controls to block or allow specific categories.

Blocking essential cookies will prevent the platform from working. Blocking functional, analytics or marketing cookies will not affect your ability to use the platform.

Treviya reviews this Policy periodically. If we add or remove cookies, we update this Policy and announce material changes at least 30 days in advance. Prior versions are retained and available on request.
